Sport Pilot CFI
Sport Pilot CFI
The sport pilot certified flight instructor certificate provides one of the easiest and most inexpensive ways to begin your professional flying career. If you are a sport or private pilot and want to share your passion for flying as an instructor, consider becoming a Sport Pilot Certificated Flight Instructor. A Sport CFI, or simply CFI-S certificate, can be obtained in about half the time required to become a traditional CFI. You can become a CFI-S without becoming a commercial pilot and still get paid to teach sport pilot students.
What can you do as a Sport Pilot CFI?
Provide training and endorsements for:
Sport pilot certificate
A flight instructor certificate with a sport pilot rating
A flight review or operating privilege for a sport pilot
A proficiency check for an additional category or class privilege for a sport pilot certificate
What aircraft will you fly and teach?
Clausen Aviation has access to two Special Light-Sport Aircraft, a Van's RV-12, and a Remos GX through Icarus TB&R.
How long does it take?
That’s very much dependent on each student. Flying regularly and studying at home shortens the amount of time in the air and time with an instructor on the ground substantially.
